Learn what makes Life Safety Project tick.

Serving clients nationwide from our Florida office, Life Safety Project offers consulting along with second-to-none engineering design services. Our experienced engineering team holds highly specialized NICET certifications held by only 64,000 professionals in the country, and undergoes stiff ongoing training schedules to maintain those certifications.

In addition to maintaining the NICET certifications, continuing education ensures that our engineering and design standards remain high by honing our ability to conform to codes and regulations, as well as sharpening our skills with the best and newest industry technology. Using highly technical tools (like AutoCAD computer-aided drafting software, for example), we are able to engineer designs that are fully NFPA compliant and fully code compliant.

Life Safety Project is passionate about our clients’ projects, and it shows in our extreme attention to detail. In fact, over 90% of our projects pass on the first plan review. In the event that the building department plan reviewers have comments, we deal with each comment in order, making meticulous corrections digitally per NFPA codes and/or AHJ requirements, then resubmit along with a very detailed response letter which explicitly identifies the resolution of each individual comment initially made by the building department.

Our experience in fire alarm system design, fire sprinkler system design, and extensive security solutions extends to every type of construction imaginable; from high-rises and industrial buildings to public facilities and commercial complexes.

Everyone wants to turn their ambitions into reality, and for more than 15 years we’ve helped our clients do exactly that!

There are some key differences between our services and the services offered by others:

Attention to Detail

We don’t just design, we consult.

After studying the plans and understanding any road blocks, we offer detailed code-compliant solutions catered to your needs.

NICET Certification

Held by less than 4% of engineers.

Did you know 10 years of experience is required for NICET IV certification? No wonder there’s only 1,500 in the nation!

Plan Review Pass Rate

Our projects pass plan review the first time.

Over 90% of our projects pass on the first plan review, saving you costly delays and putting your project on a fast track.

Here’s a look at what some of our clients had to say about their experience working with Life Safety Project on their previous projects.

“He listened to what I needed, understood the situation, and came up with a digital solution pretty quickly. I was impressed!”

“Professionalism and efficiency. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Tom and the team at Life Safety Project.
I have now engaged them for 3 projects, and each one completely different in scope than the last. They have performed above expectations, and the level of professionalism they hold is exactly what it should be: treating each other with respect, listening, collaborating on the design, and responding in a timely manner.
For any project you have, and want done right the first time, Life Safety Project should be your first call.”

“I’ve used Thomas for years, always pleased with his work. I’ve recommended him to many other low-voltage contractors.”
